7th Daffodil Captain Cup Golf Tournament 2024 Kicks Off at Kurmitola Golf Course
The three-day 7th Daffodil Captain Cup Golf Tournament 2024 began at the Kurmitola Golf Course in Dhaka, attracting nearly 650 golfers, including both local and international members from Kurmitola Golf Club and other golf clubs across Bangladesh.
The tournament was officially inaugurated on Friday, October 25, by Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of the Daffodil Family. The event was attended by prominent participants and dignitaries, including Kurmitola Golf Club Captain Brigadier General Md. Tawhid Hossain, Tournament Committee Chairman Brigadier General Abidur Reza Khan (Retd.), Daffodil Family CEO Dr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, DIU Registrar Dr. Md. Nadir Bin Ali, Daffodil International School Principal Dr. Mahamudul Hasan, and numerous military and civilian executives. Additionally, key members from Kurmitola Golf Club’s executive team, including CEO Colonel Md. Shahidul Haque (Retd.), Club Secretary Colonel SM Sajjad Hossain, Lady Captain Professor Shaheen Mahbuba Haque, Lt. Colonel Abu Md. Saidur Rahman (Retd.), and Lt. Colonel Md. Anwar Hossain (Retd.) were present.
The tournament fosters both competition and camaraderie among golf enthusiasts and reflects Daffodil Family’s commitment to supporting sports development in Bangladesh.
